Often times people get really up in arms about receiving a mediumship reading. People worry about everything from if the person they want to speak to will not come through, to what if they do come through and tell me that I am going to die. People are often concerned about whether or not the medium is legit or not. Sometimes, actually, most of the time people are worried that the medium will see their secrets. Well, I am about to put some of these anxieties to rest.
When preparing for a mediumship reading first things first, have no expectations. No one can predict what will happen in a reading as far as who will come through for how long and what they will say. If you go into any reading with expectations you are essentially setting yourself up to be disappointed.
A medium has no control over who comes through. They are not willing spirits to come through they are merely giving them a platform. For example, telling your loved one to bring up a specific thing in order for you to know that it is them can take away from your reading. You will spend so much time waiting to hear what you want that you will miss the other messages. Also say you want to hear from a specific person but when the evidence coming through is not about the person you want to hear from. Your brain can often dismiss it as untrue because instead of listening to the evidence of who it actually is you are trying to see how it fits the person you would like it to be.
Then there is the person who can’t relax or doesn’t want to give away any information so they don’t smile or interact with the medium. While this is okay to an extent, you should know that if you are afraid often times your loved ones sometimes will pull back in order not to scare you.
Things you can do
The week before your reading I suggest that you stay hydrated. Think of your loved one more frequently than usual. Do your research going into the reading and remain open with no expectations.
